1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer by RPM International
This classic Jeep came to us from Wakesurfer as a complete bone stock Grand Wagoneer. We knew going into it that this needed to be a unique build. Wakesurfer wanted modern power, reliability, and features to tow their boat, and drive in comfort and style fitting for their brand. Step one was a tear down of the drive train and interior. This Jeep originally came powered by a 360Ci V8 that was lethargic to say the least. It was backed by a 2-speed transmission that kept it from comfortably cruising at today’s highway speeds. This is being replaced with a 650 hp motor and 5 speed transmission.
The interior on the old Grand Wagoneer’s were pretty posh for the standards of the 80’s, but things have come a long way and the interior is going to be re-done according to today’s luxury standards.

The end result of this project is a little bit Resto mod, a little bit Off-Road monster, a little bit street rod, and a little bit modern luxury. All of the combined facets of this build are like nothing that’s ever been done. Wakesurfer will be able to drive this to the lake every day, boat in tow with boards racked up and stand out like no other. You may even catch some Ice Cube bangin’ out of its massive stereo system.
